In this presentation, we will look at the Australian Safety Board Cessna T210M Accident Review to see why the wing failed, review Chapter 8 of the FAA Aviation Maintenance Technician General Handbook on Cleaning and Corrosion Control to investigate the types of corrosion, corrosion-prone areas, both geographic areas and structures that are prone to corrode. Then we will cover some measures that might prevent corrosion damage.
