Algebra 2 and Compressed Algebra

After a year of geometry and some algebra, many students find it difficult to get back into the swing of things algebraically when it comes time to take higher level algebra 2. This is particularly true of students taking the course in 2022, who last experienced algebra 1 in 2020, which was, to say the least, not a GREAT year for learning and retaining things. This course aims to fill in the gaps of knowledge from two years ago while providing support for students in their new coursework, with an eye towards how to use a calculator efficiently to make homework more directed, how to identify problem types and use simple methods to bring them to solution, and the particularly tricky business of reducing word problems to mathematical equations.
