About this FAASafety Wings Course
There I was: over the North Atlantic Ocean in a single-engine Cessna 210 in February. The Cessna 210 was one of the first single-engine piston aircraft to be certified for flight into known icing conditions with it's vacuum powered de-ice boots. But after experiencing ice bridging in this aircraft, I knew I had to remain clear of icing conditions.
So how can we fly our airplanes safely in winter? While it might not be the arctic circle, we have plenty of hazardous weather to deal with in the lower 48. In this webinar, we will discuss strategies, aircraft limitations, advanced winter weather, and introduce new tools for forecasting hazardous conditions.
