Assignment 1 | Learning by Comparison: First World/Third World Cities

Assignment #1 The 2-page (approximately) research proposal should contain the following elements: a) topic or title of research, b) a brief description of the issue and the two cities you will be analyzing, c) a brief statement regarding why the issue and the cities were selected (e.g. uniqueness, significance), and d) at least three different sources of information that you have already identified and examined for this research. The 2-page research proposal constitutes 5% of the final grade, and is due on September 17 in class.
